Scheme No.1 : Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme (GPAIS)
Purpose: Social Security Coverage for Cattle Breeders and Allied Staff
- Introduction: The Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme is a welfare initiative designed by Sarhad Dairy to provide a financial safety net for the key stakeholders of the dairy supply chain. Recognizing the risks involved in rural cattle rearing and the logistics of milk procurement, this scheme ensures that the families of those who serve the dairy cooperative are protected against unforeseen accidental tragedies.
- Objective: The primary objective is to provide immediate financial assistance to the legal heirs of a deceased member in the event of an accidental death, thereby preventing the family from falling into sudden financial distress.
- Key Benefit:
– Assistance Amount: A fixed sum of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Only).
– Coverage Condition: Payable specifically in the case of the accidental death of the insured person.
- Target Beneficiaries (Eligibility Criteria): The scheme is inclusive and covers both the primary producers and the support staff involved in daily operations:
- Cattle Breeders: Must be active milk pourers of a Village Dairy Cooperative Society (VDCS) affiliated with Sarhad Dairy.
- Logistics Staff: Route drivers and cleaners who are actively engaged in the collection and transportation of milk.
- Other Staff: Support personnel engaged in service provision along the milk routes or at the union level as defined by the scheme’s guidelines.
- Application and Claim Process : To ensure timely disbursement of the assistance, a standardized process has been established:
(1) Documentation: The claimant/nominee must compile all necessary documents as per the Sarhad Dairy Checklist (typically includes the FIR, Post Mortem Report, Death Certificate, and Proof of Society Membership/Employment).
(2) Submission: Completed files must be submitted to the Administration/Insurance Department at Sarhad Dairy, Kutch.
(3) Verification: The Union verifies the active status of the individual (membership in VDCS or employment on the route) before processing the claim with the insurance provider.

Scheme No.2 : AI Worker Training Scheme for Pashupalk (Livestock Farmers)
Purpose: Milk societies can nominate one person for a Artificial Insemination (AI) worker training in this scheme 50% cost of training will pay by Union,25% by Society and 25% by candidate. Main agenda of this scheme to improve animal breeds and increase milk production.
- Introduction : The AI Worker Training Scheme for Pashupalk (Livestock Farmers) is an initiative designed to strengthen dairy farming by training individuals in Artificial Insemination (AI). Through this scheme, milk societies can develop skilled workers who help improve livestock quality and overall dairy productivity.
- Objective:
– Improve animal breeds through scientific methods
– Increase milk production.
– Support sustainable income growth for livestock farmers
- Key Benefits
– Better quality breed animals

– Availability of trained AI workers within villages
- Target Beneficiaries:

- Application Process
(1) Interested candidates must apply through their milk society.
(2) Submit the application with reference of society on letterhead.
(3) Application should be sent to the Sarhad Dairy Head office.
